NEED HELP TO MANAGE MY GRIEF
Core Purpose Psychotherapy Can Help You Deal With Your Grief

Grief
People feel grief whenever they experience loss in their lives. Grief is characterized by a feeling of intense sadness and despair towards the loss. It is natural to experience grief when someone we love dies, when we go through a painful breakup or if we get sick or suffer from a chronic condition and lose our ability to function.
People experience grief differently, and the way to move through difficult times depends on the way they process their emotions in general. This means that those who feel comfortable crying and feeling their pain will move on quicker, as opposed to those who are not able to feel their own sadness.
When people have a hard time processing grief, they cycle through four stages: (1) denial, (2) anger, (3) bargaining, and (4) depression/sadness. If the sadness is not fully felt, the cycle will start over again, and some people can get stuck in the actual cycle or one step of the cycle for long periods of time.
Unresolved grief can lead to apathy, bitterness, anger and depression. In worst cases it can turn to addictions and substance abuse.
The key to processing grief effectively is to address the attachments we had to the person or situation, what their presence meant to us, and how the loss has impacted our ability to be the leaders of our own lives.
Overcoming grief is a process, and I am here to give you the time and space to step into and feel your loss fully.
